Visit the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the most photographed place in Bristol and the seventh most photographed in the UK! According to Google, the most popular photo spot is the western tower’s base on the bridge’s Clifton side. Make sure you get your own photo of Bristol’s iconic structure or book an Underground Vaults Tour to see the bridge in a brand new way!
The Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitor Centre is funded entirely by your donations, tour tickets and sales from the Clifton Bridge Shop. Your support allows us to tell the story of Brunel’s first bridge as well as continue developing our education program.
Our accessible Visitor Centre is free to enter and run by our friendly volunteer team. Inside, you can watch a film about the bridge’s construction, discover unusual objects from our archival collection, and learn how the bridge is maintained today. You will also find personal stories from locals sharing what the bridge means to them, or try out bridge-building in our Education Workshop.
The bridge is an integral part of Bristol’s story, and we love sharing its history with visitors and locals alike. We couldn’t do it without your support, so thank you.
