Are you arranging a Conference or Team Building event in Bristol? A visit to Clifton Suspension Bridge, one of the most iconic sights in the city, will give your delegates a chance to relax, network and get an insight into the history of Bristol. Ensure positive memories of your event with a tour or send your delegates underground to explore the Leigh Woods Vaults.
If you’re planning to bring a large group to the bridge, you can book a 45 minute – 1 hour guided tour at any time by arrangement. Our knowledgeable volunteer guides will lead your group around the site, pointing out interesting features of the bridge’s architecture and engineering, and spotlighting the best views and vistas. They’ll tell the story of the bridge’s design and build, and introduce the life and works of the famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. You’ll also hear some amazing stories of daring feats and learn about the methods we have used to maintain this important historic structure over the past 150 years.
The Clifton Suspension Bridge Hard Hat Tour is a one hour experience suitable for groups of fifteen. Learn about the construction and discovery of the huge red brick abutments which support the bridge towers before donning a hard hat and high vis jacket and exploring two of the twelve vaulted chambers inside the Leigh Woods abutment. A shorter version of this tour can also be arranged. (Attendees must not be under the influence of alcohol: we’d advise participation before any networking events.)
