Technical Hard Hat Tour – Two Hour

Have you ever wondered about the technicalities of the Clifton Suspension Bridge and wanted to ask about cross girders and the movement of the saddles? Then this is the tour for you. Join one of our volunteer guides for a technical tour of the bridge followed by an exploration of the vaults. Hear about the decade-spanning journey the bridge took from design to completion, alongside technical facts and building details. Learn a little more about how the maintenance team look after the bridge today and how they were involved in the discovery of the vaulted chambers of the Leigh Woods abutment, before donning a hard hat and heading into the vaults yourself!
