Our bridge-building workshop not only encourages problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork but it also introduces basic engineering concepts to the pupils in an engaging and hands-on way.
In this workshop, pupils will:
- Learn about the different types of bridges and their uses.
- Work in small groups to design and build a bridge working to a budget and time limit.
The aim of the workshop is to build a bridge strong enough to hold 1kg. At the end of the workshop, the bridges will be judged on: strength, cost style, and teamwork – who will win the challenge?
